You understand ISO 26262 not as a checklist but as a framework for making defensible engineering decisions under uncertainty. You are comfortable translating a vague customer requirement into a Technical Safety Concept that actually works, and you can explain to a hardware team why their design choice affects ASIL classification without making it feel like a lecture. You do not wait for complete specs to start safety planning. You work with what you have, ask the right questions, and build a safety argument that holds up under scrutiny.
